The Human Microbiome

One of the most exciting recent discoveries in microbiology has been the recognition that humans have a rich and important ‘microbiome’ on and in our bodies. The implications of this are vast—more so than you may realize.

9.1 Introduction to the Human Microbiome. In this video lecture, I’ll provide an introduction to human microbiome research, especially the early interesting discoveries that show the power and promise of the human microbiome. How we might actually translate this into positive health outcomes is an ongoing challenge. As always, pause, rewind, rewatch, and take notes.
